Berbicara mengenai baterai pada perangkat smartphone ada dua jenis baterai yang disematkan yakni baterai removable dan non-removable. Di awal-awal kemunculan perangkat smartphone, semua produk smartphone hadir dengan baterai removable. Namun di masa sekarang ini, sudah banyak juga produk smartphone yang menggunakan baterai non-removable. Vendor smartphone menghadirkan smartphone dengan baterai non-removable demi mendapatkan desain body yang tipis nan ramping. Salah satu ciri smartphone entry level yakni bentang layar yang kecil. Begitu juga dengan Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace, hadir dengan membawa layar seluas 4.3 inches. Kendati kecil, namun Samsung menyematkan teknologi layar Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen yang lebih baik dari IPS TFT capacitive touchscreen. Layar smartphone ini memiliki kepadatan layar mencapai ~217 ppi pixels density.
Bicara soal jeroan dapur pacunya, pada Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace 4G telah ditanami chipset Spreadtrum Pike. Untuk memacu performanya, Samsung membekali smartphone ini dengan prosesor Dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 dan processor grafis GPU Mali-400. RAM yang dimiliki smartphone ini hanya 768 MB. Smartphone ini berjalan pada sistem operasi Android versi v4.4 (KitKat).
Untuk urusan jeprat-jepret foto, Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace 4G mengandalkan kamera utama dengan ukuran lensa 5 MP. Kamera utamanya telah dilengkapi dengan fitur LED Flash, Autofocus, Geo-tagging, Touch focus, Face detection, Zoom. Adapun untuk kebutuhan fotkamera sekunder dengan resolusi 2 MP.
